Woodpecker SAS is a company that manufactures sustainable social houses, classrooms, and sanitary units for the most needed people, using 100% recycled materials. Woodpecker®WPC (Wood Plastic composite) is made of coffee husk and recycled plastic. The best of two worlds strength and durability. The result is a strong material, durable, non-combustible (fireproof), easy to maintenance (soap and water), splinter free, eco-friendly and it does not need to be painted (different colors to choose from).

Our product solves two problems at the same time, environmental and social. Woodpecker SAS uses the WPC to create affordable constructions, increasing the quality of social habitat while contributing to a healthier green planet. Coffee husk used to be burned generating CO2 and the plastic was dumped in landfills affecting the environment.

Our Company has a 11 year experience in recycling, manufacturing WPC profiles, and installing constructions in rural areas or very isolated places where traditional construction materials cannot go. To date, more than 2.000 houses, 1.000 classrooms and 20 schools have been built with our construction system. Our manufacturing plant has many extrusion lines to meet our customers’ demands on time and quality.

The construction system works like a “LEGO kit”, the lightweight prefabricated buildings are modular, so they are easy to make and eliminate the need for wasteful cutting, mixing or gluing materials. They are easily transportable and can be built anywhere, by anyone. Construction can take less than a week as anyone can buy the kits and put them together themselves. Basic tooling is needed. The weight of the system represents an important saving in freight. Some of our constructions have been transported using helicopter or canoes. Our capacity is around 2.500 houses per year.
